Senate and House Override President’s Veto on Medicare Bill, Cut in Physician Payment Averted On Tuesday, President Bush vetoed the “Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008” (H.R. 6331). Shortly after the President’s veto, both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate successfully overrode the President’s veto. Actions by the House and Senate mean that H.R. 6331 is enacted into law without the President’s signature. New Resource!
